Following on from a statement issued by the ACU today, where they have suspended all race and social activities until April 30th due to the COVID-19 outbreak we have regrettably taken the decision to postpone Round One of the British Supermoto Championship, originally scheduled for Easter Weekend at Three Sisters.

This decision was not taken lightly and alternative ideas such as running behind closed doors were explored however in these current difficult times it is incumbent on each and every one of us to act responsibly and therefore we have taken this decision not to put any potential burden however small on the NHS.

We will continue to monitor the situation on a daily basis and keep competitors updated via our website & Facebook, we will also be in discussion with Three Sisters to find a suitable alternative date to re-run the meeting.

On a more positive note we are in advanced negotiations with Olivers Mount circuit Scarborough to run a meeting on a brand new course incorporating part of the iconic road race circuit on the weekend of the 8th and 9th of August. This was originally going to be a stand alone “Masters Cup” meeting but with the current fluidity surrounding dates could be a full Championship round. More on this in due course.

As organisers we know little more than any of you so our advice is to follow government guidelines, stay healthy, stay positive and look forward to the near future where we can all get back doing the things we love to do.
